When we started producing our famous Pie Crust Cookies in large quantities we were left with a dilemma: What should we do with all the scraps of leftover pie crust?! While searching for ways to repurpose them Janie was struck by a memory of her Granny's kitchen. Granny Conly would carefully trim her pie then re-roll the trimmings, make a mixture of sugar, melted butter and a good dose of cinnamon, slather it on the pie crust, roll, cut and bake. Voila! These treats which she called "Grasshoppers" were fought over by all her grandchildren. Now to honor Janie's Granny we are making the same addictive treats and calling them Pie Crust Bites: Flakey and buttery pie crust rolled with cinnamon and sugar then baked to caramelized perfection. Since they are hand made and hand rolled using scraps each Bite is like a snowflake, some a little more crispy, some a little more flaky, we love them all!!! These Pie Crust Bites are truly a crowd pleaser, open a bag and they will be gone before you can even say Pie.
Each bag contains 15-20 Pie Crust Bites
